Responsibilities

Enterprise Software Project Management

  • Provide project leadership, software lifecycle expertise and business experience to manage development/implementation teams through the successful completion of full Software Development Lifecycles on enterprise software development/implementation initiatives.
  • Innovatively work through client constraints and project risks related to scope, schedules, resources and budgets.
  • Successfully manage dynamic project components while applying discipline to maintain client commitments related to project scope, schedule and budget.
  • Effectively manage diverse enterprise software teams consisting of client, partner and/or consulting resources along with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Apply Agile Software Development processes and methodologies to facilitate faster delivery of business value, reduced risk typically associated with software development and more adaptability to dynamic business requirements that all ultimately lead to software that best meets client needs.
  • Provide knowledge transfer on Agile Software Development to help ensure client organizations improve their software development processes & methodologies for the future; In addition to knowledge transfer, deliver formal 1-day and 3-day training workshops on Agile Development Software Development.
  • Demonstrate outstanding client commitment by ensuring client satisfaction and Madison Henry’s related Performance Guarantees.

Business Development

  • Participate in the business development process with prospective clients for new software initiatives; providing technical expertise and business experience in crafting proposed solutions to client problems with a focus on quality, speed and cost-effectiveness along with knowledge transfer.
  • Areas of responsibility during business development process shall include thoroughly understanding client business problems, proposing recommendations for technology solution supported by detailed schedule and resourcing plan along with consideration for risk management, vendor management, deployment and disaster recovery.
  • Must apply creativity and flexibility to present solutions for client constraints related to project scope, schedules, budgets and existing technologies.
  • Demonstrate excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills with client executive stakeholders.
  • Utilize excellent interpersonal communication skills to develop existing client relationships and identify client needs for Madison Henry's Enterprise Software Project Management and Software Lifecycle Recruiting services.

Industry “Thought Leadership”

  • Represent Madison Henry in serving our industry as a dynamic thought leader.
  • Responsible for publishing articles and white papers on enterprise applicaton project management processes, methodologies and trends for leading industry journals.
  • Responsible for participating and delivering presentations on enterprise software project management at selected industry events.

Community Involvement

  • Volunteer time with local technology organizations and their initiatives to help them reach their goals and help the community where we work thrive.
  • Dedicate time to local non-profit organizations to help them reach their goals and help the community where we live thrive.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience managing enterprise software projects on successful consulting engagements with large organizations focused on at least one of the following: Custom Application Development (Microsoft.Net or Java/J2EE), Business Performance Management (BPM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
  • Must demonstrate specific examples of proficiencies on the following project management fundamentals from previous consulting experience:
    • The trio of project leadership, software lifecycle expertise and business experience to manage development/implementation teams through the successful completion of full Software Development Lifecycles on enterprise software development/implementation initiatives.
    • Innovatively working through client constraints and project risks related to scope, schedules, resources and budgets.
    • Successfully managing dynamic project components while applying discipline to maintain client commitments related to project scope, schedule and budget.
    • Effectively managing diverse enterprise software teams consisting of client, partner and/or consulting resources along with business and technology stakeholders.
    • Demonstrating outstanding client commitment from satisfied clients (references required).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing software on successful consulting engagements with large organizations focused on at least one of the following: Custom Application Development (Microsoft.Net or Java/J2EE), Business Performance Management (BPM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
  • Proven ability to maintain current on latest applicable technologies while performing management roles.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge and application of full Software Development Lifecycle Methodologies (SDLC) with an emphasis on Agile Software Development.
  • Proven ability to successfully participate in the business development process with an entrepreneurial spirit to win new client engagements and develop existing client relationships.
  • Demonstrated excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Previous experience publishing or delivering presentations on enterprise software project management processes, methodologies and trends.
  • History of actively volunteering in local technology and non-profit organizations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; Master’s Degree or MBA preferred.
